History

Čili is the largest restaurant and café chain in Lithuania, presenting delicious high-quality cuisine, a pleasant environment and a friendly atmosphere. Well into its second decade, the food chain has gained recognition among its clientele and enjoys a broad circle of steady customers.

Čili (eng. Chili) became a synonym for the word pizza in Lithuania long ago. Today we’re proud not only to be able to offer our customers over 50 various types of pizza, but also a full menu of hot meals and steaming breakfasts, as well as a variety of delicious desserts and special seasonal dishes. Our customers can order Lithuanian, Chinese and Japanese cuisine at Čili chain restaurants as well.

It all began in the summer of 1994 when Plento Baras opened its doors on the Nemenčinė highway and began to lure customers with Armenian shish kebabs.

The first Čili Pica restaurant was established in Vilnius in 1997 on Ukmergės Street (now Konstitucijos Pr.). Vilnius residents and city guests turned the restaurant into one of the most frequented eateries in the capital, and the new location gained immediate popularity.

At present, Čili Holdings manages the Čili Pica, Čili Kaimas, Čili Kinija, Tokyo chains, totalling 80 restaurants and cafés. In addition to Lithuania, Čili Pica restaurants can also be found in Latvia.

Lithuania is home to 38 Čili Pica restaurants owned by Čili Group companies. Čili Pica is not only located in the country’s big cities, but also in Šiauliai, Panevėžys, Nida, Utena, Alytus, Marijampolė and Kėdainiai. 14 of the restaurants are franchised. The Čili network also owns nine Čili Kaimas restaurants, three Čili Kinija restaurants and the Plento Baras in Vilnius. 13 more Čili Pica restaurants operate out of Latvia.

The majority of our customers stop by the chain’s restaurants and cafés not only to have a bite, but also to meet friends, watch sports, have business lunches and celebrate family occasions. We created the Draugų Card for loyal customers. Čili network employees also have access to favourable and flexible career opportunities. Several employees in the chain have already made exemplary career moves from servers or cooks to executive management positions.
